GEM5 Hackathon

Recognizing the potential of the incredible tool, gem5, the members of Maktab-e-Digital Systems hosted a gem5 Hackathon, a two-day event. Day1 highlight was the session with Ayaz Akram (Graduate Researcher University of California, Davis) presenting the history and inner workings of the gem5 simulator. His insightful presentation helped attendees grasp the fundamentals of this powerful tool and its significance in the world of computer architecture.

Day 2 of the event began with the session of Mr Umer Shahid, RISC-V developer partner and gem5 researcher. Afterwards, participants were assigned their tasks. The atmosphere at the hackathon was charged with creativity and determination.
